For the best breakfast or brunch in Paris, visit the Rose Bakery pictured here in the Marais. Fresh organic produce lines the walls of this bakery/eatery as the young chef's in white aprons prepare the day's goods. For breakfast try their fresh squeezed juices and homemade cakes, scones and breads. A selection of rotating dishes, including different salads, vegetable tarts and risottos are on the menu each day for lunch.

I’ve always been a fan of Roebling Tea Room for its seasonal menus, creative cocktails and eclectic wine and beer selection. Recently I have been enjoying their breakfast, featuring Amy’s Breads in sandwiches and toast. The Pork Roll is a take on a classic bacon, egg and cheese but with Canadian bacon and aged cheddar. For $6.50, it’s prepared between two huge pieces of country white and served with a mound of golden French fries. For a lighter alternative, I recommend the white fish health plate, which is basically a tuna salad without all the mayo. It’s served on top of a thick piece of pumpernickel toast that is perfectly moist in the middle, accompanied with fresh greens. Dark brown toast paired with a dark sly fox stout taste great together. The Bloody Mary is equally as good and freshly prepared, but if you like them spicy, ask to add Tobasco sauce. The cool morning light flooding the large windows of this converted warehouse makes this a perfect setting for the first meal of the day.
