Happy Friday, Hot Chip and Sigur Ros fans -- we're about to make your weekend.  Meet Casiokids, a Norwegian export that sounds like its two progenitors puréed into a smooth, delicious electro-shake.  (Forgive the weird metaphor; this shake is pretty strong.)  We're kicking ourselves for not learning about these guys sooner -- their unintelligible chipperness would have made the winter a little more bearable. The band has just signed to Polyvinyl for their US debut, Topp stemning på lokal bar (loosely translated, "great vibe at a local bar"), which is due out June 8th.  For now, their track "Finn Bikjen" is available here as a free download.  If you like what you hear, they're playing in Brooklyn this weekend.  And if you don't like what you hear, you might want to get that checked out.  Like ... soon. Casiokids play the Death By Aquavit! Scandinavian daytime showcase at Littlefield (no relation to this writer) this Sunday alongside The Good the Bad (Denmark), Spleen United (Denmark), and The Megaphonic Thrift (Norway).  Doors are at 1pm, and entrance is $5.  See you there.
