beach-house Being inveterate indie-types, Beach House is releasing a 12" record to coincide with Record Store Day (April 17th), a celebration no doubt intended to shore up little mom-and-pop shops against the encroachment of iTunes, Amazon, et al.  We can get behind that; more importantly, though, we can get behind one of the never-before-heard tracks from the album:  "The Arrangement," which you can stream here.  The band is also giving away a free download of the UK radio edit of "Zebra," a track off their last LP Teen Dream. Less exciting, sure, but a free download's a free download.  Get it while it's hot! Beach House is swinging through New York City to play a show at Webster Hall on May 6th, and it's about time -- the student choir at PS 22 has obviously been pining for them, as evinced by their munchkin rendition of "Zebra." (You might recognize these voices from the Passion Pit song "Little Voices."  These kids deserve a Grammy; their music teacher, a Nobel.) The Zebra 12" record is in stores (indie and otherwise) April 17th.
